Ross Racing Pistons offers a large selection of pistons
for Ford and Mercury engines. We have Ross Ford pistons and Ross
Mercury Pistons available for the Windsor, Cleveland, 4.6 Modular, FE Big Blocks,
Flatheads and the 2000 and 2300 engines. These pistons are great for use in drag race and
oval track cars, as well as high performance street and muscle cars.

Ross Ford pistons and Ross Mercury Pistons include forced pin oilers and
double spirolox on all of their stocking pistons. Pistons are balanced to plus or minus
2.5 grams throughout the set. You can buy replacement pistons one at a time as needed. The
valve pockets are designed to handle most camshaft applications. The skirt design allows
the pistons to work properly under intense heat and tremendous side loads without scuffing
or splitting cylinder walls. Most normally aspirated pistons are designed to operate at
.004 piston skirt to cylinder wall clearance. All ROSS stocking pistons include aircraft
quality pins that are heat treated and end ground to work in full floated or press fit
applications.

Ford Windsor 302 351 Pistons
Flat top Pistons
ROSS Ford Windsor Flat Top Pistons in this section are
machined on Ross's new XL400 forging for maximum strength and minimum weight. All pistons
with "S" valve pocket location will work with Dart, Edelbrock, Alan Root, SVO
J302, R351, N351 and 289 stock heads. All pistons marked with "T" valve pocket
location will work with TFS "Twisted Wedge" heads. All pistons in this section
include aircraft quality pins that are retained with double spirolox or can be press
fitted into rods. Ring Grooves are 1/16, 1/16, 3/16. Valve pockets displace 3cc. 302 Block
Height = 8.200" 351 Block Height = 9.480".

ROSS 302 Ford Windsor pistons in this section are suitable
for nitrous systems below 250 horsepower. Ring sizes are 1/16, 1/16, 3/16. Will work with
TFS High Port "Street Heat" heads, TFS "Twisted Wedge" heads, and
Canfield Avenger heads due to three valve pocket design. Pins included are .927 diameter,
2.950 length, .150 wall aircraft quality.
Compression ratio based on 64cc cylinder head chamber
volume.

Windsor 12.5 to 1 Pistons

ROSS Ford Windsor Pistons in this section are suitable
for nitrous systems below 250 horsepower. Part # 80561 and 99607 come with .927 diameter
aircraft quality pins, while Part # 80551 features .912 (stock Ford) aircraft quality
pins. Compression ratio is based on 64 cc head with .050 total piston to head clearance
(deck and gasket). Dome style "F" fits stock Windsor and Motorsports J-302 (AR)
style heads. Dome style "A" fits TFS High Port "Street Heat" heads.
Pins retained by double spirolox or can be press fitted into rods. Ring sizes are 1/16,
1/16, 3/16.
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE WITH FORCED INDUCTION
SYSTEMS.

Ford 4.6L Modular
The pistons listed in this section for the Ford 4.6
Modular engine are available in both a flat top and dished configuration. In addition to
the pistons, these kits include the pins, locks and even a complete set of Ross Racing
Rings! These piston kits are an excellent value.
These new Ross flat top pistons are ideal for street/strip
normally aspirated applications and can be used with small nitrous systems. The included
piston pins are stock .866" dia and are 2.500" long.
The dish top pistons listed below are machined on the all
new for 2002 Ross forgings. These new design forgings provide heavy duty strength with
moderate weight, and are designed to stand up to the rigors of turbocharged and blown
applications. Pins included with the dished pistons are stock .866" dia. and are
2.720" long for more pin bearing area and extra strength.

machined on our HS362 forging for maximum strength and minimum weight. Appropriate size
aircraft quality pins and fitting included. Deck clearance approximately .017 with uncut
block.
