409 Pistons Ross Forged 409 Chevrolet Piston Sets and Rings
ROSS Racing Chevy 409 Pistons are used in high performance, street car, muscle car, hot rod, street rod and 409 Chevrolet racing engines by knowledgeable
engine builders the world over. They combine light weight, high strength, precision
machining and premium materials to build forged 409 pistons you can depend on for high horsepower and durability.
ROSS Chevy 409 Pistons include forced pin
oilers and double spirolox on all of their stocking pistons. Pistons are balanced to plus
or minus 2.5 grams throughout the set. The valve pockets are designed to handle most camshaft applications. The skirt
design allows the pistons to work properly under intense heat and tremendous side loads
without scuffing or splitting cylinder walls. Most normally aspirated pistons are designed
to operate at .004 piston skirt to cylinder wall clearance.

ROSS Chevy 409 pistons are ideal for street use, muscle car restorations, strip
applications and more. They are suitable for nitrous system shots of up to 250 horsepower. Pins
included are aircraft quality .990 diameter, 2.930 length, .150 wall, 149 gram weight, and
are retained by double spirolox.
