ROSS pistons feature forced pin oilers when applicable, anti detonation grooves, lock removal grooves and come complete with wrist pin retention lock rings. The pistons are pin fit and balanced to plus or minus 2.5 grams throughout the set. Intake and, or exhaust valve pockets are radius machined and designed to handle most common performance camshaft applications. The precision skirt design allows the pistons to work properly under intense combustion heat and tremendous side loads without scuffing or splitting cylinder walls.

ROSS high compression
ratio small chamber big block Chevy pistons in this section feature special hollow dome forgings for maximum
strength with minimum weight and will work with closed chamber heads. These pistons are designed for intake
valves up to 2.300" diameter and exhaust valves up to 2.050" diameter. Suitable
for nitrous systems of 150 horsepower or less. Pins included are .990 diameter, 2.930
length, .150 wall, 149 gram weight, aircraft quality chrome moly, and are retained by double spirolox. They can also be used with a press fit rod, but a floating wrist pin installation is preferred.
