ROSS pistons feature forced pin oilers when applicable, anti detonation grooves, lock removal grooves and come complete with wrist pin retention lock rings. The pistons are pin fit and balanced to plus or minus 2.5 grams throughout the set. Intake and, or exhaust valve pockets are radius machined and designed to handle most common performance camshaft applications. The precision skirt design allows the pistons to work properly under intense combustion heat and tremendous side loads without scuffing or splitting cylinder walls.

 ROSS high compression
BBC pistons listed in this section feature special hollow dome forgings for
maximum strength with minimum weight. Designed for use with open chamber heads. These pistons are designed for intake
valves up to 2.300" diameter and exhaust valves up to 2.050" diameter. Suitable for
nitrous systems of 250 horsepower or less. Pins included are 5115 series straight wall .990 diameter, aircraft quality and are retained by double spiro lox or can
be press fitted into rods. Compression ratio for these pistons is based on the cylinder head chamber volumes as listed in the chart below and .050 piston to
head clearance (deck and gasket combined). Ring grooves are 1/16, 1/16, 3/16
